Timberline Motel

This is an HDR image made of two exposures. One exposure was optimized for the lights, and the other was optimized for the wall of the building. I was not concerned with noise in deep shadows because I intended for them to go black, and so I did not make a third exposure for shadows.

The result earned a Second Place Award for architecture photography. First Place went to "Last Wall Standing" which can be found in The Palouse section of the Locations Gallery of this web site.
