Morning Coffee

Composition came together nicely and tells the story. He is with the 1st North Carolina Cavalry, and it's just about time for coffee. With his eyes covered by the brim of his hat, he remains an anonymous soldier. The dishrag at top left balances the frame and contributes to the story, and we get just enough chair on the left to relieve the white space of the tent canvas.
